Featured Replies

hi all..dont know if this in the correct place ..can i connect a solar panel charger to the battery in alarm panel as a back up to the mains charger if so is it just a matter of conecting the panel wires to the battery..thanks

I personally would not recommend this what about a larger standby battery is the alarm monitored?

Yeah, If you know what your doing, and only if you know what your doing. a 66Ah car battery, trickle charged by the panel should run a domestic alarm, assuming 1/2 an amp idling current for about 5 or 6 days.

How long are your power cuts ?

yes its monited

Ok, but why are you thinking of doing this? & What sort of monitoring?

Please :punk:

Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.

A week? No power....in Wales is it?

Seriously, you would need a change over relay for a start. You cannot have two charging supplies on one battery.

If it is that isolated, how does the phone line stand up, or is it GSM?
