ronniesize12
Hello I have just purchased a DVRLCD250 4 Channel CCTV DVR. This system has 4 BNC video inputs and 1 BNC video output. I have also purchased a Sentient 5.8 GHz Wireless camera, model n20GB. This camera has been supplied with a cable with RCA connections. hpotter
The yellow plug is video, the red one audio. You will need a bnc- phono adaptor to connect video to the dvr. Not familiar with the kit you have so cant say if it records audio. http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=26608 Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/28638-help-setting-up-dvrlcd250/#findComment-237078 Share on other sites

The DVR has an audio in and an audio out socket on the back. I assume I only need to connect the red audio plug into the audio in socket. thanx Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/28638-help-setting-up-dvrlcd250/#findComment-237089 Share on other sites
hpotter
You will need to connect the audio out (dvr) to the audio in on your monitor (for playback). Just re-read that. Sound like instructions for cricket - when your in, they get you out etc..... I have purchased a RCA to BNC jack but still cannot get a picture on the DVR. I connected the RCA to BNC jack to yellow cable. I then connected this yellow cable to the DVR video output. There is still no image on the DVR. hpotter
As per Rulland, camera out goes to dvr in. Also, some tv's have more than one AV input, click through osd options, might see AV1, AV2 etc. Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/28638-help-setting-up-dvrlcd250/#findComment-237583 Share on other sites
ronniesize12
Hello Thanks to everyone. I have now have it sorted and can view and record images on the DVR. I simply needed to purchase RCA to phone Jack, and then connect the yellow video socket to a video input source. Thanks Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/28638-help-setting-up-dvrlcd250/#findComment-237939 Share on other sites
