Sd1+ And Scantronic 9651

Recommended Posts

Hi there, new to the forum. I am a security install engineer that actually works normally on fire alarms, so i need to ask your opinions on this!.

Can anyone tell me how to wire up a SD1+ and Scantronic 9651 together to dial out. On the instructions it says

TRIG C---- Com 3 on panel

Power---- 12v and 0v

Trigger time---- 5v rem. ---- I dont know how to make this trigger type work!?

any help on this would be great.

Thanks

its a while since i worked on scannies but basically you connect the trig c to either the intruder o/p wire (which i preusme is what's meant by comm 3 as most digis etc use channel 3 as intruder) - this will either be on a flying lead or plug that come seperate or a connection on pcb labelled as digi outputs or you connect it to same connection as bell which is normally neg in alarm. Latter abviously means that when you do a bell test it will activate SD+ so is not the preferred option.

ah i see. what does it mean by trigger type 5v rem. ? Is this something i have to set up on the SD1+ or the intruder? Also do i have to set up the panel to send an output to the sd1 or will it do it automatically?

Thanks

honest answer - don,t know what it means by trigger type 5v rem - all the instructions i have for sd1 & SD1+ on my records don,t show this little nugget of info - if you can scan the instructions and put them on here i may be able to advise further unless some other person cleverer then me knows the answer!

note to self - check other posts before writing - re redbulls post above

Also re setting thepanel up it depends on where you connect it to - if the bell o/p then it will go when the bells goes if you use the digi o/p's then they should come factory progr. - check the manual.
