April 27, 200917 yr comment_235208 8 zone Optima XL - remote keypad in DAY mode - internal sounder going off and showing A on LED display - POWER and DAY LEDS remain lit. Entering User Code appears to solve problem, but has happened twice more since. Checked both User Manual and Installers manual and no reference to what A means on the RKP. First thoughts were that it might be a tamper issue (such as the aged bell box) but the TAMPER light isn't lit... Any advice appreciated. April 27, 200917 yr comment_235216 Are you sure of that model number?..XL didnt have RKP. A is normally Panic Attack button, check it out if you have one on the system. April 27, 200917 yr Author comment_235219 Thanks...I'm sure it's an XL, but it code be an XM. Deffo 8 zones - steel enclosure for the main panel, with x2 RKPs. There are PA's attached so will check them over. April 27, 200917 yr comment_235270 it can`t be a XL or XM. both of these don`t take keypads and they don`t have 8 zones . nor to they have a steel enclosure for the main box . as fastcar says check your panic buttons , as A usually is a panic button on some systems. April 27, 200917 yr comment_235297 Optima 2plus? Sounds like it to me, are the keypads portrait or landscape (well I can't think of a better way to ask)!
