Where to begin?, what to expect?

I am really confusing, on what to do. Well you know, reading the PC1555 v2.30 Installation Manual, doesn´t help much like a step by step detail what to do and what to expect, but if possible answering my questions, you will surely inspire and guide me. I am really fighting against the control pannel, because i don´t have a LCD KEYPAD, but i am working on PC-LINK and modem communication

I will try to explain you where did i begin, where am i right now.

My main goal is to connect the control pannel to the computer using DLS2002, but if the system light is always on, will i be able to communicate with the pannel until i correct the problem and the system light is off.

CURRENT STATUS:I already default the PC1555 V2.30 pannel to factory values and using the defaul values, but at this moment on the LED Keypad ZONE 1,2,3 and 4 are off and zone 5, 6, 7 are light on and zone LED 8 it is off.

is there? or have you seen by any chance a detail guide.

When i input *8 the keypad light become off and then the bleeps, what is the meanning of a continuous bleep, beacuse the system is especting a 4 digit No. and if i input let´s say section 499 it does a bleep, but i will input 5555 and at the first 5 it makes a long bleep, so i am not sure if this long bleep means ready for input the others 3 555 digits

So in my effort to configure the control pannel with the computer by using DLS 2002, i already use version detect number, but.

anyway maybe you already figure where i am now, so please a detail step by step, almost like a working guide, it will really help in order for me to really be sure that i am programming ok.

Its a DSC classic panel..

Computer needs to be set for PC link.

Needs to press # then *8 eng code, 499, eng code, 499 to get the panel to download to the computer.
