February 17, 200917 yr comment_225034 Just purchased this Philips TL24A5T time lapse vcr and have a question concerning the on screen display. Is it normal that the letters PL flash next to the date? Is there anyway to get rid of the flashing PL. Thanks PL indicates Power Loss, this would be normal after first power up, I do not have a manual for this VCR, but it was usually reset from within the on screen menus Ian Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/27008-philips-tl24a5t/#findComment-225037 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 February 17, 200917 yr comment_225136 Welcome to the forum Woofer95 As spider said, it is simply a power loss warning. Whilst it may be possible to turn the warning display off using an embedded menu, some Time Lapse machines have a small recessed button (normally behind the controls flip down cover) which is marked as "Reset". If the recorder has this facility, pressing the button for a couple of seconds should reset any alarm indicators.
