can anyone recommend a place to hire a cable fault tracer in the southampton area, as I ve got a site that has an underground cable for the port sirens has been damaged somewhere and requires locating and repairing any suggestions

i dont know where you could rent one but i have a old bt tester which you connect the cores of the cable to it and it will tell you where there is a break O/C or S/C

and if fairly accurate on the distance, usually within about 2m
