ada Posted December 3, 2008 Share Posted December 3, 2008 Hi All New to this forum, looks great. I have a problem with my parents Optima 6 zone alarm panel. After a power cut, all the light on the panel are alight and the keypad will not respond to any inputs (there is also no sound from the keypad). I do think the battery has died because when the power went off, my Dad tried to set the alarm but as soon as he pressed a button all the lights on the panel went out! kka Posted December 3, 2008 Share Posted December 3, 2008 firstly, the code may have reset to factory default....yes you will need a new battery, but more damage may have being done if the panel is , say over ten years old and being charging a dead battery for about 8 of those, who knows... let this community know how it goes we may be able to help further..
