Guest Guest
for that , obvious it may of seemed , but can anyone put me straight , when the BELL HOLD wire was removed from the old panel the bellbox sounded , i believe this is in case of a break in & the panel is smashed up , but I thought this was a -12v connection .....don't know where i picked this info up is it correct/incorrect but if its correct then connecting the blue wire to "D Permanent negative supply 0v" on the new panel would not be the same Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/2581-bell-box-wiring/#findComment-15842 Share on other sites
Deltaseven
Point taken Steve - negative 12V and 0V are technically not the same, however, in this case, both panels will be providing a 0V (or negative return or whatever you want to call it) at the specified terminal. When the hold-off voltage (or the permanent 12V) is disconnected, the bell sounds. Hope this helps...
