I have one of these fitted the panel shows power on with no faults ,but none of the sensors seem to work and the leds do not flash on any of them and when tested with smoke it doesnt sound the alarm!i have the manual and have done the test routine shouldnt the panel show a fault with the system?the alarm will sound when resetting the sytem . the premises is unoccupied by the way.

no because it's a basic conventional system.

functional testing is the only way you will find a faulty (failing to activate) detector.

sure it's not a heat detector though as they can look bloody similar ;)

are you aware of the RRO requirments to have AFD systems serviced by competent persons?

I think it would be wise to call a fire alarm installer/engineer as its life saftey equipment.

I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.
