Texecom Mirage Dt

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Anyone any suggestions please.

I fitted a Prestige DT to a ten year old Veritas R8 panel which didn't work. Swapped it for a Mirage DT which did work OK for a few months until customer had the builders in! Plasterer levered DT off wall and left it hanging from excess cable (customer said no alarm activated and no tamper alarm shown in system log). LEDs on Mirage stopped working.

When I called to re-fit DT, found voltage ok at DT but not functioning. Checked cable continuity was ok on all cores however on powering up DT, voltage correct but no LEDS on (jumper in correct position) and walk test shows alarm circuit permanently open. No connections at latch input or remote LED but I could not get it to work. Any suggestions to aviod having to replacing the unit? :hmm:

Yeh, it's shorted somehow and I know that really i will have to replce the unit but I thought I'd just check I'm not missing anything to confirm it is faulty.
