Hi thank you for the comments, I can confirm that the neighbours have been extensively interogated and and as it was last Sunday afternoon I would be surprised that they did not hear anything. However will read the Use Guide a see how I can do a siren test. Failing this I will set the alarm off this weekend, will feedback.

if you have the engineer code i'd look at the bell delay and bell duration

id bet it works and IMO shows you what really happens with audible only alarms... good job it was a false alarm.
