j.paul
i usually have to go through the password screen on a daily basis - this is the only site/forum that i have to, its got to be so much of a habit i barely notice now, i presumed it was something to do with the way the forum was running. I am on firefox and cookies work ok on other sites. Paul Using Firefox here and never had a problem, but I do sometimes have to log-in on another forum which uses the same forum software but I think thats down to the domain names been pointed to different host names There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots. Gopher
yeah cookies tend to be a bind had a similar problem on another forum www.xyz.org is different from xyz.org even although they both go the same place cookie got stored as 1 or other and some bits just didn't work right - got fixed in the end I'll have a look tonight, I'm an admin / super mod on there now. I wonder if it's possible to hive off posts older than dd/mm/yy to another DB to keep the current DB size down, kinda like an archive. I could probably figure out the MySQL translations for it...
