Problem With Ade Optima Compact Alarm Panel

Featured Replies

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me out please? It is in relation to an ADE Optima Compact.

Earlier today my 18 month old son was messing about in the hall and pressing buttons on our alarm control panel, I don't know what he's done but now the red light on zone 3 is constantly lit up, and every 30 seconds or so, it beeps (the noise it would make when you press Reset)

I have pressed Reset which momentarily stops the problem, but within a minute it starts up again (light goes on zone 3 and beeps). It's driving me mad! Anybody know what I can do to rectify the problem?

NB I have downloaded the user manual and can't find any answers in there!

Many thanks in advance!

press

Chime - 3 - reset

When was your system last serviced? it should be seen every 12 months, this model will often burn out the charging circuit with a lack of service and result in false alarms in power cuts and will end up having to be replaced.

Thank you both very much! (Fingers crossed) that seems to have sorted it! It's been driving me mental.

Much appreciated!

I spoke too soon, it is still doing it - albeit intermittently now, every 15 minutes or so instead of every 30 seconds... any more ideas what I can do, or should I get somebody out to look at it???
