April 21, 200818 yr comment_195445 Hi All, We've recently moved to a new house which has a guardtec 800 alarm installed. We've never had the code for it as previous owner has alzeimers and company who installed it have gone out of business. I've had it unplugged for a few months while renovating and have just reconnected it all. The keypad has the 2 character led display (big chunky thing) and they don't appear to be showing anything, however, the little LED to the left of the 2 display characters appears to be lit dimly. Alarm goes off as soon as it's powered up. Gardtec gave us the default engineers code but it didn't work so am assuming it was changed on original installation. Could anyone advise me on how to get this up and running? Thanks in advance. April 22, 200818 yr comment_195455 with this panel, its would be worth it, to get a pro in and have it serviced and reset...a very good panel worth the effort.... Kevin Scott. April 23, 200818 yr comment_195521 Sorry to be stupid, but what might be the lost codes procedure? this is where we come to a full stop, as forum rules (based on common sense - honestly ) forbid us to instruct how to reset the codes. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!! April 24, 200818 yr comment_195598 Weve recently started doing takeovers which in my opinion is a bad idea and theres a few gardtec 800 panels where the engineer code is locked so be careful. If it is locked youve got to send the panel away to Gardtec or is it Risko now can never remember Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/22967-gardtec-800-problems/#findComment-195598 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
