pt1334
Is it possible to turn off the chime of just one window and not the entire system? Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/22853-window-chime/ Share on other sites
Monty
Yes on most good panels you can turn off as req but is often in the engineer side of the poroggaming and the user can then only sw the chime off or on ??so depends on pannel ? www.AllanMoncrieffAlarms.com Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/22853-window-chime/#findComment-194554 Share on other sites

It will aslo depend on how the system was installed... If installed properly each window will have its own zone so yes it could be turned of/on. But if the system has been wired with more than 1 devise per zone it may not be so simple. inglishg
Yes each window has its own zone. You're in with a chance then...but it depends on the panel as to whether the end-user can turn on/off individual chime zones, or whether it's an engineers programme change that's needed. arfur mo
question is - i can't see why would you want to, especially on windows? if your rooms are on individual zones then leaving a window open on that zone will disarm the remaining windows as chime only operates each time a chimed zone is violated, the other zones will remain active if all the windows are closed to start with. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
