Sounds like a wiring issue between the CCU and the featurephone.

How have you connected it?

Do you have other featurephones which are working?

no this is the only feature phone on the system, we have other phones just BT Converse 1300 phones and they are working ok as they are extensions, but the feature phone wont turn on.

i thought there was a certain way to turn them on again im clutching at straws because i cant really remember

Sounds like a miss wire to me.

Standard two wire phones like your converse ones use A/B pair connected to 2/5 of a PABX master socket. Featurephones require the data pair too (C/D), which are connected to terminals 1/6 of either a PABX master or secondary socket (former preferably to allow SLT phones to also be used).
