Anyone hade the following fault before ?

On a large site we have scan 8136 i. Every now and again the keypad comes up with "invalide " when a fob is presented to it.

I then need to reprogram the fobs back into the system. It's driving me mad !! There is no induced ac.

Could the idis board be stuffed ?

It is not the same fob all the time, only happens now and again. It seems random. About three or so.

we seem to be always re-progging fobs for people (gardtec in our case) the technology just doesnt work IMO

can't say i have ever had problems with gartec g-tags, used be a bit iffy on the ir fobs though.

new 4 wire keypads you only need to prog g-tags in at one kekypad then they work on all of them - hooray!

this is gonna sound daft, is there a memory protect link in the scanny keypads? if so has it been removed?

your just not doing them in enough numbers to notice

Have not used in large numbers the scantronic fobs(mainly domestic with 2/3 fobs on system ) but put in an M1000 with 50 fobs and did have 3/4 that didn't work all the time some worked at the keypad but not on remote AX10 reader ? replaced and used on other site that only had key pad and worked ok . what we did find that if the user had had a problem and had not reset the system properly then he would have a problem from the remote reader, but that was not the problem with the 3/4 that we had problems with.
