I've been browsing through the forums looking for some advice on a home security setup and am having a hard time trying to work out how much I should be looking to spend to get something basic.

House Description

Semi detached with side entrace and gate to back door which I feels is the weakest point

open plan lounge

kitchen

3 bedrooms upstairs all coming off central landing

1 cat

I've attached a very badly drawn plan of the house, red lines are for doors, blue are for windows.

I'm really looking for a pet friendly control panel based system, not bothered about wired or wireless, as long as theres not too much mess!

I know you would probably have to see the place to get a better idea, but as I said any ballpark figure for a basic setup+installation would be great, if not are there any recommended installers in essex/east london area?

get three companies out to give you free quotes and take it from there...

have all you questions ready in advance...

ask friend and neighbour , if they recommend anybody who work they have seen....
