basilb Posted January 8, 2008 Share Posted January 8, 2008 I've been using a Geovision GV-800 (4 camera) on a CCTV dedicated AMD system for 12 months without issue. For some reason when buying the card I must have assumed that to add extra cameras one just had to add another card. WRONG! I also thought that 4 cameras would be enough. Also wrong! Am now looking at alternative cards - either an 8 camera geovsion or alternative brand. The Geo's are hell expensive however although there are some cheaper ebay versions. They look identical judging by the pictures however I know that fakes are out there with all the correct Geo markings. Any advice on alternative brands with the equivalent software?
