Has anyone tried using one of those 7 inch lcd monitors that you get in cars etc.

Would it be sufficient for setting up a camera whilst up a ladder?

Obviously not as sharp as a Computar or one of those but you can pick up a used one for a tenth of the price . . . . .

fine for using on a general view, but no good for fine tuning of focus.

very handy to check a camera is putting out an image for fault finding, but thats about it imo.
