defeat a motion sensor

Featured Replies

Has anyone else seen this message on the newsgroup?Hello.

I am working for a film production company in Canada, and we are working on

a script in which a cat burglar has to defeat a motion sensor.

is there any information out there that can help with this? I am real, by

the way - not someone trying to pull a fast one...

Thanks.,

These are the answers from the otherside of the pond!

if they are heat detecting motion sensors then by wearing multiple layers of

clothing to insulate the body heat inside then the detector will not sense

heat movement it also helps if any movement is still slow.

Ummm, I actually had this happen just the other day!

Same thing happened to us. We used to hold keys for about 100 select customers and if there alarm went off we were called out to sort it out.

One night an engineer was called out to an activation and found that a door had been forced but nothing had been taken so he fixed the door reset the alarm and left.

The next morning we had a call from a very annoyed customer saying that he had been cleared out, when we had a look it seemed that they had forced the door ran to the pirs sprayed them then went and waited for the police and our chap to come and go then put a hole in the wall and took the lot.

When about 98% of breakings are done by total divs its easy to miss.

The scary thing is they took farm chemicals and you know what they do with them.
