accenta 8

Please Help!

I have a problem with a Accenta 8 (mini) panel going into alarm on loss of mains power. I have reset the NVM, tested batteries, and re-commissioned then simulated a mains interruption - everything seems fine in the short term, only to get a call perhaps a month later to say the power went off and the panel went into alarm.

Any ideas??

Seand

When the power goes, does the internal sounder sound, or just the external sounder? i.e., does the whole panel power down, or go into alarm? If the panel goes into alarm, can the customer silence it?

You say you have tested the batteries (how many?) - have you replaced any / all?

Hi seand,

It may be the panel alarming on power up, possibly due to a surge, (why are they having so many cut's in the first place??) I would check around the charging cct for any dry joint's, fit a clamp, and if it persisted, for the sake of £30.00 I would commision a new PCB :)

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
