Texecom Veritas Excel Help

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've a few queries about installing my alarm. I am using a Texecom Veritas Excel control panel and Texecom Prestige QD PIRs.

I have installed an alarm before using a global tamper circuit which I could do here but I'd like to take advantage of the EOL capabilities of my control panel. I'm a bit unsure of how to wire the system to use EOL. The prestige QD Pirs have jumpers to set resistances but they aren't the values stated in the manual for the control panel so I take it I would have to use the resisitors supplied with the panel.

I have included three images with my post. Manual.gif shows how the manual states it should be wired and the other two show my interpretation of this for the pirs and the door contacts. I f anyone could tell me whether I've understood it alright or how I should do it that would be great.

Otherwise I'll just wire the system with a global tamper circuit.

cheers,

Richy

not sure if this panel has to be enabled as eol in engineer programming,

a neater way of detector wiring is to place the 10k resistor between the tamper terminal to the alarm contact terminal (so shares one terminal with the 22k shunt resistor).

If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!

As arfur says above, remove your 'wire link' and replace with the 10k resistor.

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
