November 24, 201015 yr comment_258920 We also keep days back for xmas hols. Close xmas eve half day, company lunch a local then holaday until new year. Cover 3 days call in that time. This year for me its xmas eve,day and boxing day (would have been on call these days anyway). We have a great boss and gives us anytime off with pay if we need it. I never claim overtime but i always get a great deal back. After working for Hex for 11 years its a breeze on call. November 24, 201015 yr comment_258946 we break up xmas eve when last man back, we get back 2nd jan (all depends where sat/sun is etc). call out change over depends again where xmas falls. everyone gets paid & no loss of annual leave, however.... if your turn on call & called out you dont get a penny, even if you had to work 12 hrs/day, 5 days. never happened yet, & pretty sure txt to other eng would bring help (unless they forgot to charge mob ) Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/2102-anyone-else-on-call-tonight/page/4/#findComment-258946 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
