Hi, im installing a new alarm in my house soon, and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good brand of PIR to install. They need to be quite attractive looking, but that musn't effect their functionality. I've looked at PIRs like the Viper Primo, but was wondering if there was a good one that the majority of installers favour.

There are many makes and models of PIR detectors, and the prices can vary quite dramatically.

As a general rule though we find QUAD detectors very effective in the house, and DUAL TECH sensors for those places with more varied conditions such as a garage, shed or conservatory.

If your asking which Brand I`d recommend at a sensible price then i`d advise you to have a look at the Cosmos range of PIR detectors manufactured by ROKONET, namely the Cosmos PQ (Dual sensor Quad) and the Cosmos DT (10mtr Dual Tech).
