Replacing C&k 700l Panel With Texecom Premier 48

Featured Replies

Hi all,

first post so please be gentle ;)

As the title suggests I've recently moved house and am looking to replace the faulty C&K 700L panel with a Texecom Premier 48 panel. My question is related to the bellbox. The connections on the C&K panel are as follows,

-R

-ve

+ve

-S

-ST

I assume the -ST is the strobe and the -S is the bell, the -R the tamper?

The Texecom panel has, +12v, Bell -, Tamp, 0V, Strb-

Will wiring it up the following way be ok?

-R to Tamp, -ve to 0V, +ve to +12v, -S to bell, -ST to Strb.

Also, what is the best way to disconnect the bell so that it won't ring all day until I fully connect up the new panel. EDIT Please do not post bell silencing information in the public forum. anyone can see

Thanks in advance.
