Sl Compact Problem - Please Help

Featured Replies

Hello all,

i am a new member and I am not an alarm engineer.

The alarm i inherited with my house is an SL Compact. While cleaning the panel today a bunch of lights lit up. I pressed the reset button and all seemed fine.

Now when i walk into the kitchen (Zone 3) , the control panel goes "bleep". It does this every time i activate the sensor.

i dont have a user guide and have tried downloading the SL8 one from this site however it no longer seems to be on the server.

The alarm sets and arms all zones as it should but obviously very annoying when i keep setting it off.

Any ideas?

many thanks

jamie

and if emits a short squeak at about every 5 minutes then it's your smoke detector/s battery - not the intruder alarm trust em

i get more far more calls per year for battery smoke detectors giving off a flat battery signal than any other fault call - and i won't even fit them but will they listen :realmad: mumble! mumble!

then they ask will come out now and go and fit new batteries for them - a 3am i the morning? bet they would just love that bill
