Hi

I desided to add 2 magnetic door contacts to the same zone as one of my pir's (optex rx-40qz)

When the door contacts & pir are wired up, it fails the walk test, if i disconect the pir the door contacts pass the test & if disconect the door contacts the pir pass's the test!!!

Have check every thing, no shorts in wiring, differnt zone on panel ect...

any help would be great

Have you wired the contacts into the same zone as the pir ?, if so , just put them on there own zone .

You have probably got them wired in parallel.

but they really shouldnt be on the same " zone " as the pir im assuming you installed the whole system yourself and its not on a maintainance scheme, so all you are doing is saving problems for the future if you start to get false alarms

Yes had them wired in parallel.

& have now put them on 2 zones
