Hi Guys,

my names Emre, i have a satellite company and just added CCTV items but i want to learn more about CCTV, i hope i came to the right place.

search on google, and it looks like a great forum, was reading alot of posts also, i am only 21 years of age, and i am very new to this and want to learn alot is there any tips you can give me?

keep your head down and take on board what advice people tell you and if unsure ASK as its better to ask a stupid question and then do the work correctly than to do some thing stupid on an installation

thanks mate, i have no qualification in CCTV, do you think i should go and get one?

I may be wrong but I'd be surprised if they install much.

Hi and welcome starsatuk to the forums,

many members will answer a reasonable amount of questions, and most with all good will, help to explain things like the terminology used, but although a hall of knowledge the forum is not a training college.

many suppliers like SystemQ, Norbain SD and Gardiner Security and others run courses (some are free) for engineers, which i think would be of good sound basis and an excellent starting point for you to go from.
