I just looked in my regs book and I can't find a reason to stop you installing a cable next to another service as long as either service has no detrimental effect on the other.

ie. don't install a cable on/near a hot water pipe as the heat may damage the cable over time.

It is good pratice to avoid "other" services if at all possible but if there is no other route then simply pipe/sleeve the cable to a suitable standard to protect it and you should be ok.

Check BS 7671 and rules covering the type of service you want to run cables next to.
