Veritas Excel Pir Led

Featured Replies

Can any one help? We have a Veritas Excel Alarm system we moved one of the sensors into a different room using the same cable and re-wiring back exactly the same but now none of the led's are flashing when we move around in front of them, there are 4 PIR's and one door sensor, any ideas? cheers

you have shorted the power cables together somehow , i recommend you call an engineer to fix the system

You have blown a fuse in the panel.

im not going to tell you to get an engineer in as i think you should have worked that out by now

but please dont replace the fuse with any old fuse - i know but it has happened on here before - it must be a 20mm quick blow glass fuse with the same current rating as the one that the manf recommends for that panel - not nessesarily the same as the one that has blown - someone could have fitted the wrong one before

ive seen systems that burnt because the wrong fuse was used it would be best to get it checked properly

Thanks for all your help, we found some spare fuses in a bag in the alarm box, it was the auxillery fuse that had blown so we replaced that and it's all fully working again! Hurrah! cheers
