Guest lona
Hi there I would like opinions on this wireless system. Does anyone have it installed and is it any good? . http://www.quicksafe.co.uk/sg4000.htm Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/1889-wireless-systems/ Share on other sites
Guest dale
personally wouldnt touch it with a barge pole, see the threads about people's opinions on wirless systems. It is a DIY system and a thief will be able to see this from a mile away. For £250 you could get a much better system, although not wireless. If you are intent on getting a wireless system have a look at Visiosonic Powermax. norman
Nooooooo don't do it!!!! As Dale say's get a professional system fitted by a recommended local installer. If you post your general location I am sure someone local would give you a no obligation quote and lots of free advice. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool. Guest lona
Thanks for that advice guys. I am in the Ayrshire area near Paisley. I think you've convinced me that I should go for a hard wired system. Deltaseven
We used to install the AEI Panels in Zimbabwe - but the hardwired ones, 4, 6 and 8 zone units. They were extremely - erm - average! We had a few problems with the keypad clock going out of sync with the panels, and rogue signals being passed between keypad and panel. If you have those problems on the hardwire version .... you better get religion with your wireless version! I try to avoid 0870 numbers. It ends up costing a fortune in the phone call alone before you even buy anything. Sorry. morph
Its a national rate number not a premium rate number, charged out at BT standard national rate. Colin. Guest dale
Lona, mebe you are confusing 0870 with 090, as 0870 is (as Colin said) BT national rate, and is used by many companies.
