Just installed one of these in my house , I have been trying to get hold of the (Scantronic downloader software for Windows) to make local programing easyer, Been waiting weeks for a responce from Scantronic but still nothing....

Anyone know were i can get it from..

We got an up to date copy a few weeks ago, all that was required was a call to there sales department and confirmation of who we were. 3 days later we had a copy. Might be worth calling them again, as generally they are very goood at sending things out when requested.

I think its a case of Scantronic will only make this product available to trade companies/engineers, so you will need to make them aware that you work for a security company.

Finally got the software from Scantronic, now i have a 9851 panel which wont talk to the s/ware...

There was no info to say what cable is used ..? is it a serial/x-over/or null modem..?

I put the panel in eng mode then used 110 option, set an account up in the s/ware attemt to connect but it just times out. (This was with a standard serial cable)

Also how do i find out what version the panel is....?

When you type in 110 and press the tick,,it should say In progress,, if not press the tick again...The lead i used was a maplin job will check tomorrow if null modem but suspect it is.

yeh it says in progress but when you attemt to connect using the account it sits for a while then times out
