If the engineer is coming , let him change them ,and give it the once over , although he may also suggest replacing the whole system , its probably about 12-15 years old.

Regards.

Oh yea, good thinking! If its blown anyhow, may as well replace 'em all ay. haha, DOH! Never thought about that :~)

Yes, programming guide says installation date was way back in 1992, so 15 years was a good guess fastcar. LOL. To be honest, lots of problems/complains on the forum about this model, but it seems ok for us (quite easy to use etc.) the only thing which lets it down for me is no illuminated Remote Key Pad, that would of been nice (although not sure if these were invented when this was made LOL).

I shall give it a go tonight.

Thanks for your help!

Dave

Not sure about the Service. We moved in about 1 year ago and there is no documentation to say if the previous owners ever had it done.

I checked the fuses again last night - 1 had blown :~0 Think my eyes are not as good as they used to be. LOL I don't have any at the moment, so will get some today, your were right - they are 1.6a (but not labelled up). I'm going to replace the pir's first and then put the fuse back in, like you suggested.

(probably best to get the Alarm company to give it the once over then as-well ay?)

cheers for your help guys!

Replaced the fuse - all working again now!!! Thanks for everyones advice!!!

i aim to please
