April 24, 200718 yr comment_163805 Gardtec's my preferred panel manufacturer, they tick all the boxes imo. we all have preferences and are swayed to what suit's us over all, everything has compromises. i have no probs with stirling, just not over keen on the aesthetics. in the past used their Pyronx's pir's, no issue's either. the rep i think was called Racheal at the time i used them (might be raymond now ) intellegent, well informed and a real cracker to look at, so a pleasure all round to deal with for me - if not her. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!! April 24, 200718 yr comment_163821 although we use gardtec exclusivly and it is available in the public arena its not supported there by the manfacturer and its relativly easy for the o/p to compramise the system without realising confimation sounders anyone? if you have to install this yourself i would look at one of the small local electrical shops - they should know all kit needed - its likely to be what they fit themselves and they can answer any questions that arrise as they will during the installation word of caution who is powering the panel - needs to be certified angus Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/18759-intruder-alarm-advise-pleeaasse/page/2/#findComment-163821 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 April 25, 200718 yr Author comment_164007 Wow, thanks for all the replies and humour I appreciate what Arfur and KKA mean about neatness etc. I was an electrical & electronic engineer in a previous life .... a long time ago. I'm not a qualified sparky .... my Dad has one to do all the 'goverened' work. I'll do some digging on the your suggestions (Texecom and Gardtec) .... to come up with the 2 main extra features (autodial, wireless keyfobs). Thanks again. Thanks again. glad to help so far richard - now dont forget that the alarm install will have its own regulations too it isnt " ungoverned " so you may want to spend some time digging about the site looking at the relevant standards etc before you start the install let us all know if you have a question when you have decided on the control equipment angus Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/18759-intruder-alarm-advise-pleeaasse/page/2/#findComment-164009 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
