note though to anyone with broadband filters to disconnect cable connected to terminal 3 this is the bell ring which increases the length of the neg side of the cable and throws the balanced signal outthe phone will still ring as the filter acts as a ring generator

Thanks to all

-sorted it for what ever reason there was 2 lines coming in -why i dont know. 1 of the lines was disconnected (bt end) so the live line was going to the extension and master socket wasnt working now all working
