gooner31
might be an idea to get a local alarm company in to give the alarm a service battery could well need changing any problems they find whilst doing the service they will let you know about. pete B) pete ................. Guest MarkP
It occasionaly makes very short high pitched alarms when unset too. Any ideas? Are you sure it's not a battery powered smoke detector making the short high pitched alarms? Smoke detectors tend to bleep about once a minute when the battery is running low. Some smoke detectors also bleep due to cooking fumes as a pre-alarm (ie before going into the full alarm condition). The Veritas panel certainly shouldn't be emitting occaisional short high pitched alarms - are there any LEDs lit on the panel when the alarm sound occurs? Guest dale
It does sound like a smoke detector, we seem to be getting many of these, mebe we should have a frequently asked questions section for "My alarm is making a high pitch short beep".
