Can anyone help us please. Despite asking several times the previous owner of our house just won't give us the code to our alarm system, an Advantage ZX6. CAn anyone offer any advice on how best to deal with this, possibly a manual?

Any help would be very appreciated and far more use than our previous owner!!!

You will definitely need an engineer familiar with the panel to sort it out and set a new code. Think about a maintenance service at the same time.

Have you checked through the details of the sale process with your solicitor; this is the sort of thing that should be covered. If the vendor won't co-operate you may have a claim against them.

With out the user code you will not be able to change to a user code of your own. The ZX6 will be a bit old and will probally fail soon, why not replace it.

A texecom veritas compact will fit over the same spot of wall.
