I have had to replace the backup battery on my Accenta 6 alarm and i cannot get it back into normal operation.

I have:

turned off mains power

opened panel

replaced battery (Alarm sounds)

closed panel

turned on mains power

pressed "Prog" and tried 0000 and 9999 one of which i believe should take me back into engineering mode, but alarm continues.

Can someone please help.

Unless the panel had crashed All you needed to do was:

Open the panel >>> Enter your code to silence the system

Remove the old battery and fit the new one.

Close the panel lid and press the reset button.

If during the process your code has Defaulted it will be 0123 or 1234.
