You would need to use a relay if your door bell has a voltage running through it, as you cant put a voltage on the alarm inputs of the DV58.

You could just get one of the new video entry systems that take a photo of whoever rings the bell they store up to 60 odd shots before rewriting the card. So even when your out you can see who has rung the bell.
