arfur mo
Hi All, posting this here as a cautionary tale for all DIY and Trade Engineers alike. an experienced audio engineer while working on my current site (nothing to do with me) caused himself some severe and embarrasing damage. like most of us we hang side cutters froma pocket. our hapless guy had done the same from his back pocket, and while crouching in a confined space slipped backwards nipping a 2" gash in his buttock, and stabbing himself in gut with a posidrive held in his front pocket, requiring a visit to A&E. he had to endure the wise cracks (oopps there go's another pun) and i's assume a very uncomfortable ride home to Portsmouth from Greenwich in a van - yeah he got all the smarty remarks about sailors not knowing which port of call, ripping himself a whole new annus and so on . so people be carefull with sharp tools - or they can bite you! regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!! fertilebert
I find the best place for your cutters is between your teeth, especially whilst climbing ladders. arfur mo
Like the dangerous DeWalt drill bestDewalt Drill superb, but why no blood when the drill was withdrawn ? i did see something simular happen, sparky drilled through the wrong wall working in the next door building - caught an expensive wall carpet, cojuld hear it comming but he was on hammer so could not hearshouting to stop, by the time i made it to the wal the carpet was 'orbiting' on the end of his 30mm sds+drill tip. owner no best pleased and now added to my risk assessment regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!! arfur mo
Sometimes its the tool holding them that scares me. is this what you mean? working in Romford APC (PO counters sorting office) installing trac-am camera's, i was asked the loan of a 20mm sds drill bit by of all people the site agent., no probs i say and gets it for him and continue's about my work. later i here this really horendous racked being made from the other end of this very large building, i had to do some works near it so curious as you do i looks up, to see a labourer with my drill tip in his percussion drill trying to go through the metal wall cladding. did think to offer to lend my tsnk cutter - but would probably have been used to drill paving slabs or cut glass . regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
