Well someone who has experirence with the xpc better correct me if im wrong but if i remeber the accord was an 8 zone panel that could take an rf keypad. I would have thought that zone 8 was a device not a global low battery alarm. So yuor only using circits 1 - 7

zone 5 fitted to garage door....magnetic reed contact

zone 6 is set to tamper, when activated reports trouble with radio equipment

zone 7 is set to tamper, when activated reports a tamper with radio equipment

zone 8 is set to tamper, when activated report radio battery is low and reqs replacing

this is what is on the paperwork i have

if it helps the radio kit is a visionic power code class v transmitter and reciever

zone 8 is set to tamper, when activated report radio battery is low and reqs replacing

If the system is wired to show a low battery as zone 8 and you have not changed the battery, the system will not reset until you have remove the source of the fault ie, change the battery

Sounds like you have the MTC100 transmitter (little white box with a thin wire antennae coming out of it and red LED). The Powercode stuff uses a 3v Lithium battery. Replacing this and closing the lid on the transmitter should clear zone 7 and 8.

now im confused i thought he had a wireless accord xpc so would have ademco pir's, Now he has visonic stuff?

Seems like he's got like a standard Accord XPC (did'nt know there was a wireless one?) with a Visonic wireless setup for a (probably) detached garage.
