Veritas 8 Alarm Fault

Featured Replies

Hi.Bought a brand new house that has a Veritas (r or v) 8 Alarm fitted. It has been fine for the last 6 months then last night it would not set properly.

Zone 3 (dining room) kept on beeping 3 times then a slight pause then 3 beebs etc.

I thought it was just the heat so excluded it last night but still would not set this morning now it is a lot cooler.

Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Whatever device is on zone 3 is open , if its a pir , then have a look to see if the led responds to you walking in front of it.If its a contact , make sure the door is closed.

If no joy , give the installer a ring , should still be covered .

Regards,

Thanks for the reply m8.

It is a pir and I already tried walking infront of it to see if it responds and yes it does, so bit baffled really but a mate at work said to check if the little screw underneath the pir is not loose and that there is not a slight movement from the cover of the pir.

If not I will ring the engineer as it is covered for 12 months but just thought it may have been something stupid or simple.

Thanks again for replying.
