Guest pacmania
Hi.Bought a brand new house that has a Veritas (r or v) 8 Alarm fitted. It has been fine for the last 6 months then last night it would not set properly. Zone 3 (dining room) kept on beeping 3 times then a slight pause then 3 beebs etc. I thought it was just the heat so excluded it last night but still would not set this morning now it is a lot cooler. Any ideas would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance pacmania Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/11393-veritas-8-alarm-fault/ Share on other sites
FASTCAR
Whatever device is on zone 3 is open , if its a pir , then have a look to see if the led responds to you walking in front of it.If its a contact , make sure the door is closed. If no joy , give the installer a ring , should still be covered . Guest pacmania
Thanks for the reply m8. It is a pir and I already tried walking infront of it to see if it responds and yes it does, so bit baffled really but a mate at work said to check if the little screw underneath the pir is not loose and that there is not a slight movement from the cover of the pir. If not I will ring the engineer as it is covered for 12 months but just thought it may have been something stupid or simple. Thanks again for replying. pacmania Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/11393-veritas-8-alarm-fault/#findComment-107593 Share on other sites
