Hi All,

Just new to the board (and not particularly technically minded)after experiencing problems in restoring the setting on an Optima panel.

The alarm has been rewired, and when placing the front panel back on, I cannot reset to factory conditions.The usual 0123/1234 acces codes do not work and the alarm continues to sound.

The original access code is not available, and the instructrions I have mention bridging out 2 pins on the PCB marked 'NVM', which don't seem to exist.

Any assistance in clearing this problem would be most appreciated.

Would also be interseted as I have taken over same panel Accenta 3g/Optima 3g today. (new property) No default code working!! Was only installed 12/03 by builders sub contractor.

I don't know for sure, but I think the panel is about 2.5 - 3 years old.

It was already installed in my property, but has needed some dodgy PIR wiring to be replaced!

Sounds as though you are trying to use the wrong manual with your panel.

Have a look at these websites and try and identify your panel from the pic's/ brochures.
