June 19, 200619 yr comment_103678 I've a Scantronic 9448 alarm and have just suffered a power cut. This rendered the alarm inoperable, none of the keypad buttons worked (not even a beep) while the three zone, and strangely, the power LED's were lit. I tried disconnecting the power in order to try and reset the alarm but nothing happened for a couple of days until I repeated this process. Hey presto the alarm started funtioning normally again. This is not the first time this has happened and I would like to know if anybody can explain what actually happened. (It isnt holding a charge) Do as whistle suggests and post your location, im sure there will be someone near you and if not, contact a local company for a service. Ranger The above is my personal opinion and not that of my employer or anyone else.
