marksandsparks Posted June 15, 2006 Share Posted June 15, 2006 I have installed a Texecom Veritas R8 Plus control panel with an ADE Reson8 bellbox. When I test the external sounder using the test facility on the Programmer the sounder works fine. However, when the alarm is activated by triggering any of the sensors/contacts the external sounder does not sound but the internal sounder does activate, the bellbox strobe flashes and the Texecom Speech Dialler works fine. I have the control panel wired to the bellbox as follows: Control panel terminals____________Bellbox terminals Permanent Pos. supply ---------------------- Bell + Switched neg. to activate sounder ---------- Bell - Negative tamper return ---------------------- Return Permanent negative supply ------------------ Hold off - Switched negative to activate strobe ------- Strobe - I presume that the above wiring is correct as somebody on this forum advised me on this.
