Yeah, its good kit - next generation is the Sinteso detectors - two heat detectors and two optical detectors (fwd and rvse scan). Only thing is the freon won't set it off as the cold gas tells the head it isn't fire smoke! I know that on the Minerva I turned the ROR processing off when testing the smokies.

that sounds similar to the Gent S4, which you have to put the panel in to comission mode to be able to test the devices as in normal operating mode an aerosol will not make them trigger

I know there is special tester for it but I haven't got me mitts on them yet (hasn't the Novar one only got 2 + 1 - smoke and heat?).

yeah it only has one heat, but you can also have the carbon monoxide cell option as well for additional smoke detection
