September 27, 200619 yr comment_122349 most standard PIR detectors will be able to have the 'creep zone' blanked off with that tape method you described. IR will not pass through the tape to be detected. i have a large cat and this causes no problems with the 'Response' system that i have installed in my house or the wired systems i have installed elsewhere.
